Call Me, Beep Me, We're Coming to Your City!

We’re bringing the creativity back to tech! This is the summer of cyberdecks, mesh networks, mixed reality experiences, and project mapping and we wanted to bring something new and unique to the builder space. Introducing our new DialedIn Series!

DialedIn is CreateHER Fest's new hands-on developer workshop roadshow, powered by Vonage. Five cities. One build. A working WebXR app that receives real phone calls from inside an immersive XR experience 🤯 !

The goal is simple: help more innovators move from watching emerging tech happen to them to actively becoming the leader building with it.

No XR experience required. Just a browser and a laptop.

What you'll actually build:

You'll configure a real Vonage phone number, wire the Vonage Client SDK into a WebXR project, build the spatial call panel that floats inside the 3D scene, and test it by calling your own app from any phone — and answering from inside the XR environment. facilitated live by Vonage Developer Advocate Dwayne. Sounds out of this world? Don’t worry! We’ll walk you through every step. This is will be a hands on in person workshop series with food, swag, and opportunities to connect with other women at the intersection of art and technology!

Who is this for:

This is for the women who build (or are learning to!). Developers, engineers, techies, career switchers, designers who code, and anyone curious about what how to bridge the gap between being technical and being creative. We welcome all, but we're intentional about who's in the room so while allies are welcome, this is created with the girlies in mind!

What cities we’re hitting:

We’ll be hitting 5 cities along the East Coast! However, if you can’t make it in person, we're running an online leg too. Work through the workshop content on your own, then enter the DialedIn Builder Challenge — sponsored by Vonage. Take what you learned, build something new and creative with it, and compete for a Vonage-sponsored prize. Top projects get showcased on Vonage's socials and website.
