  • This Week's Resources → The a16z FDE Fellowship, AMD Developer Hackathon ACT II ($20K in prizes + free GPU credits, open through July 11), NVIDIA's open-source Physical AI agent tools, the Skip AI Builder Grant ($10K for builders), a freeCodeCamp course on building AI Slackbots with Node.js + GPT-4, and more.

Hey CreateHER’s,

Midway through June and the opportunities are not slowing down. This week we've got a paid coding fellowship for people with zero experience, free Claude access for nonprofits and educators, a $20K hackathon that opened yesterday, and our full breakdown of everything we learned walking the floor at DeveloperWeek NYC last week.

Whether you're job-ready, building, or still figuring out your next move — something in this issue is for you. Let's get into it.

📣 Something True: We Went to DeveloperWeek NYC — Here's What We Learned

Last week, the CreateHER Fest team was on the ground in New York City for DeveloperWeek NYC and AI DevSummit. Two days, dozens of sessions, and some of the most honest conversations we've had about where AI is actually headed.

The energy this year was different. Less hype, more accountability. The sessions that packed rooms weren't about what AI can theoretically do, but what actually breaks when you try to ship it, who's responsible when it goes wrong, and how to build systems that hold up under real conditions.

That's the conversation our community needs to be part of.

CHF’s own Zaria Hallager broke down every session she attended — from RunPod's model delivery infrastructure to JP Morgan Chase's case for Skill Engineering replacing Prompt Engineering, and it's all live on our blog now.

A huge thank you to Vonage for making our presence at DeveloperWeek possible. Having partners who believe in empowering women technologists in these spaces is what makes this work sustainable.

📣 Something New: Anthropic Just Launched Claude Corps

If you're early or midway in your career and looking for a way to build real AI skills while getting paid to do it, Anthropic just launched Claude Corps!

Claude Corps is Anthropic's new national fellowship program. They're placing 1,000 fellows at nonprofits across the U.S. — full-time, in-person, for 12 months — to help mission-driven organizations actually implement AI. Fellows get trained on Claude, matched with a host org, and supported throughout.

Here's the breakdown:

  • $85,000 salary + benefits — full-time for one year

  • 5 hours of weekly training built into your schedule, every week

  • a CodePath mentor + direct office hours with Anthropic's team

  • open to anyone 18+ with under two years of full-time work experience — no degree required

  • relocation support available if your placement requires it

The first cohort of 100 starts October 2026. Applications close July 17th.

This is one of the clearest on-ramps into AI work we've seen! Especially for folks who don't have years of experience but know they want to build in this space. Don’t wait, apply TUH-DAY!
