Making AI Accessible: Meet Angle Bush

Sometimes the most revolutionary journeys start with the simplest dreams. For Angle Bush, Founder & CEO of Black Women in Artificial Intelligence (BWIAI), it all began with wanting to build a robot named "Usher" to serve hot chocolate. Today, she's leading a global movement across five continents that proves "surely you can't have a revolution without Black women."

Angle's story embodies that beautiful progression from curiosity to confidence to leadership. In 2019, she was curious about AI. By 2020, after attending events where she didn't see herself represented, she created the change she wanted to see. Now BWIAI spans five continents with partnerships including Amazon, Microsoft, and NVIDIA.

What makes her work inspiring? She's making AI accessible through projects like a career assessment agent for members and an autonomous hair-braiding machine. "We have people in television, university professors, lawyers, doctors. Every industry is impacted by AI," she shares, embodying that "you already have the skills" mindset we champion.
