Rise of the Digital Frankenstein’s Monster?

Made with Google’s Gemini

If you missed the headlines: Anthropic’s Claude AI was recently used in a fully automated cyberattack. With a few well-placed prompts, threat actors patched Claude into their workflow. This wasn’t a one-off hack! After basically being jail-broken, Claude did the recon, wrote up custom exploit code, hurdled security roadblocks, and pulled off data grabs—all at a pace that no human team could dream of.

Think Frankenstein, but with code instead of body parts: someone assembled all these powerful digital abilities and set them free to do their thing. The result? A fully automated operation running thousands of actions per second—silent, efficient, and nearly invisible to the usual defenses.

Things are getting SPOOKY!

Until now, these types of attacks needed teams of human hackers making decisions at each step. Claude’s debut in this “creature” role proved that AI can handle every step by itself—and Anthropic’s not shy about warning us that fully autonomous AI employees could become reality within the year. As these agents plug into more systems, the gap between helpful automation and “oops, you weren’t supposed to do that” gets smaller by the day.

As usual, CreateHER Fest will always see how we can better position ourselves and our community for future proofing.

How it affects you:

When AI like Claude gets patched into automations and runs wild, it’s not just a big company problem—it can touch every tool you use. Imagine your favorite workflow app, project management board, or finance software suddenly getting supercharged by a “digital Frankenstein” that’s moving faster than any human, making decisions, and accessing more data than you realized. That means more exposure to silent threats, unexpected data leaks, and automations doing more than you ever gave permission for. Tomorrow’s “AI employee” could be running payroll, sending emails, or combing through customer info before your morning coffee even hits.

What you can do:

  • Turn on automatic updates and install patches right away—AI-powered threats exploit anything out-of-date. For special cases, make a plan to review and update promptly—and never skip security patches.

  • Use long, unique passwords and ditch repeats; password managers are a must. (Adriann and Darlyze like 1Password & Bitwarden).

  • Always enable multi-factor authentication, especially for sensitive and admin accounts.

  • Regularly audit every account—including bots and automations—cutting off what doesn’t need access.

  • Limit permissions for automations and integrations. Don’t give software more keys than it needs.

  • Teach your family, friends, peers, and coworkers about phishing and weird requests—most issues start with a simple “Can you click this?” email.

  • Back up critical data offsite and actually practice your recovery plan.

  • Look for security tools made to monitor digital agents, not just human users.

What CreateHER Fest Is Doing:

Here’s our move: partnering with Make.com to help you build smart automations, not runaway “creatures.” Through the alliance, you’ll get access to pro licenses, expert-vetted workflows, and top-tier training at Make Academy—designed for building the future safely and ethically. We’re crowding out confusion and risk by giving you the skills, resources, and community to navigate this new AI-powered reality. Want in? BECOME A SUPPORTHER: Tis the Season of CreateHERs-giving

As 2025 draws to a close, we—Darlyze Calixte and Adriann Guy, co-founders of CreateHER Fest—want to send a huge thank you to this incredible community for everything we’ve built together and for all the possibilities ahead.

It’s wild to realize CreateHER Fest is just a year old and already feels so much bigger. Many of you have seen us share how this collective has grown into something beyond our wildest dreams. Through late nights, tough pivots, and plenty of “no’s,” we’ve stayed rooted in our mission to make space for women to be bold voices in the future of tech.

The opportunities we’ve accessed and passed forward—from our first hackathon and countless workshops to epic trips to Cannes Lions, Blockchain Futurist, Consensys, CES, AfroTech, and more—have been nothing short of amazing. With the support of our partners, leaders, and builders (you included!), we’ve opened doors for talent like Appolnia Lawless and so many others.

For CreateHERs-giving, we hope you’ll consider donating to our nonprofit so we can keep expanding our programming and make our platforms and experiences accessible to 1,000+ women and allies in 2026!
